Christmas FairiesThe Medieval Dinner
For one evening, Le Roy d’Espagne transports you to the heart of the Middle Ages. In a room with period décor, musicians, jugglers and historical characters take you on a timeless adventure: Charles V, Isabella of Portugal, the King’s Jester and the mysterious fortune-teller Larastral come to life before your eyes.
Around a three-course medieval feast, accompanied by two drinks of your choice (Belgian beer, wine or soft drink), experience an evening where music, juggling and audience interaction blend in a festive and convivial atmosphere. The show is open to all: individuals, families, groups and companies, from 5 to 120 guests. Duration: approximately 3h30.

Every year during the Winter Wonders, Le Roy d’Espagne transforms into a true enchanted kingdom. Exploring the brasserie’s secret nooks and crannies, young and old alike pass through magnificently decorated rooms that gradually immerse them in the magic of Christmas, all the way to Santa’s Land.
Every detail is carefully crafted; most elements are handmade, giving the experience a unique artisan touch. With its windows overlooking the illuminated Grand-Place and the Christmas market, Christmas Fairies is a feast for both the eyes and the heart. The event can also be privatised for corporate events and private celebrations.

Every two years, in the heart of summer, the Grand-Place is transformed into an immense floral tapestry. Nearly 1,800 m² of begonias, dahlias and grasses compose a spectacular carpet, visible free of charge from the square and from above from the balcony of the Town Hall. An ephemeral four-day event, celebrated by visitors from around the world.
Le Roy d’Espagne offers one of the finest viewpoints over this living work of art. From our rooms with panoramic windows, admire the Flower Carpet while enjoying a meal or a Belgian beer. Priority reservations are available for individuals, groups and companies to experience this unique moment in an exceptional setting.

Every summer, the Grand-Place becomes the stage for one of Europe’s oldest and most prestigious historic processions. The Ommegang recreates the triumphal entry of Charles V into Brussels in 1549: nearly 1,400 costumed participants, nobles on horseback, standard-bearers, crossbowmen, giants, jugglers and fire-breathers parade across the cobblestones in a grandiose spectacle enhanced by a sound and light show.
From the windows of Le Roy d’Espagne, experience this exceptional moment in a privileged setting. Book your table to enjoy the procession while savouring a dinner or a Belgian beer, facing one of the capital’s most magnificent spectacles.
